October 2007 New Loaves And Fishes Study Begins by Nick Harris On Thursday, September 20, Pastor begins a new study, with a magnificent new study guide. The new series of teachings focuses on the second missionary journey of the apostle Paul. The old series, focusing on Paul’s first missionary journey, concluded on Thursday, September 13, with the apostle Paul and his friend Barnabus returning to Antioch where the first journey had been launched. The second missionary journey was precipitated by interference in the churches that Paul had established in Asia Minor on his first journey by a group of “Pharisee Christians” from the church in Jerusalem. To unravel the messes these “Pharisee Christians” had made Paul returned to Galatia, and then continued to journey west until he arrived in Europe, and launched the crusade that would one day replace the Roman eagle with the cross of Jesus Christ. Loaves and Fishes takes place every Thursday at noon. Lunch is served, beginning at 11:50 AM. The Chapel is located at 904 W. Main in Norman, across from Norman High School.
