July 2007 Tharaka Kids Project Being Funded by Nick Harris At the time of the writing of this article, we have commitments for the support of fifteen AIDs orphans at our facilities in Tharaka. Fifteen committed people have volunteered to give $27/month to clothe, feed, educate, and medicate these precious children of God. We are working with my long-time friends, Cal and Linda McCarter. Cal developed a passion for rescuing starving children when he was an Air Force chaplain during the Vietnam War. He saw a group of starving children, and he knew this was not the will of God, and Cal went to war. He came home and began a ministry called “Each One Feed One” and he has never looked back. We are pleased to say that our pastor has stood at his side in this effort---two warriors who are not satisfied with the way things are---two warriors who are dedicated to the way God wants things to be.
