November 2011 From Chris' Heart by Chris Harris Yesterday I found myself looking at my calendar and designating certain days to do certain things to make sure certain things got accomplished by a certain time. Do you ever do that? I eventually had to stop, take a deep breath, and remind myself that God is in control and rest in that. Sometimes I become so focused on getting "MY STUFF" accomplished, I miss out on His perfect plan that would bring joy to not only to me but to all those around me. Nick and I have had a fun time these last few months and are now looking forward to the holidays just around the corner. We have kept pretty busy with our grandsons’ football and baseball games and serving our precious Chapel. Crystal’s Christmas Candy has opened for business now, and Teri and I are already making candy. Nick was honored to officiate at a wedding at First Church where the daughter of one of our dear friends was the beautiful bride. The entire weekend was spent with close friends from Ponca City and what a special time we had. I am looking forward with excitement to these next couple of months, and pray you will find joy in family and friends, but most of all joy in the knowledge of God’s love for you and thankfulness of the purpose He has given you.
