December 2006 From Chris' Heart by Chris Harris Well, our trip to Greece has come and gone, and what a fabulous time it was. I saw so many beautiful places and learned so much. This trip, like all the trips Nick and I take to Israel, was a true learning experience. It was so great to see so many places I have read about all my life, especially those associated with the Apostle Paul. As we drove through the little town of Berea, we read how wonderful Paul felt when his message was finally accepted after being driven out of Thessalonica. I realized what a truly amazing man of faith Paul was and what his message of grace cost him during his life time. Yet, he never gave up. It was also fun watching Nick, sometimes known as Paul Jr. preaching and sharing the same message of grace. You know Nick! Again and again, he would say, “This did not happen in some other place.” Then pointing to the ground he would say, “It happened in this place.” It is hard to believe after such a wonderful trip we are now home and preparing for my most favorite time of the year. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we have so many things to be thankful for. The Christmas decorations are calling me and the Candy Store is up and running. I love it!
