| April 2010 From Chris' Heart by Chris Harris
How fun was this Easter! Hope it was special for all of you too. The Harris’ were all here, kids, grandkids, family, and friends. After a glorious worship service and a wonderful Easter dinner, we all participated in the annual Easter egg hunt in the backyard. We were all so thankful for the beautiful day, but this year the traditional egg hunt almost didn’t happen. Let me explain.
On Friday night, Teri Bell and I spent at least an hour filling over 100 plastic eggs of all colors. We filled them with delicious chocolate Reeses Peanut Buttercups, Butterfingers, and M&Ms. How fun! Well, we left for about an hour and returned home to find at least 30 of those colored plastic eggs opened and empty covering three rooms of the house, and not one wrapper in sight. The only things in sight were two guilty, bloated and very satisfied dogs. Oh, my gosh!
All and all, the day was perfect. We just praise God, and give thanks for a God who loved us enough to give his only begotten Son, so we could have eternal life.
